Upland Dawn: 20:00 min.
The first rays of light touching the ridge line awaken the birds. Least Flycatchers, Ovenbirds, Nuthatches, Vireos, Woodpeckers, and Chipmunks begin to call.

A small creek flows through this narrow valley of Hemlock trees. Red Squirrels call from the trees, Blue Jays fly across, and Wood Thrush sing from the cool forest floor.
Forest Canopy: 13:00 min
Along a steep valley, you can peer directly into the canopy. Many Redstarts sing as they feed and collect material for their nests. Chipmunks scamper nearby, as distant Pileated Woodpeckers drill. Veery, Red-Eyed Vireos, Scarlet Tanagers, and more are heard in this vibrant chorus.
Grosbeak Ridge: 9:39 min.
During a warm breezy afternoon high on a ridge, Rose-Breasted Grosbeaks sing. Redstart, Robin, Yellow-Billed Cuckoo, Chipmunk, and other Warblers can be heard as well.
Veery Duel: 08:07 min.
As daylight fades to darkness, in the deep forest, two Veerys sing their last songs of the day. A deer can be heard, making an alarm call, as it passes through the woods.
Last Light: 05:00 min.
The last hint of light fades from a grassy clearing in the forest. Verrys and Catbirds can still be heard. A lone Woodcock peents and flies around the small field, as Barred Owls emerge for the night.
